“Bertha Gray Hayes in 2021”
The WGRI Challenge for this year is to weave a Bertha Gray Hayes draft from “Weaving Designs by Bertha Gray Hayes Miniature Overshot Patterns.”
Your draft will be chosen randomly at the Annual Meeting, June 2020. You will also choose a random color for your draft at the meeting. You must use this draft and color in your weaving.
Any item may be handwoven, there are no restrictions. We encourage you to use the draft in different ways, such as pattern at the end of a scarf or runner or cuffs for a shirt.
You can be creative by adding color or varying tie-up options (ex. Star fashion).
Your handwoven will be shared at the Annual Meeting 2021 and displayed in the WGRI exhibit at NEWS 2021.
