Ingrid Buhre

WGRI Co-President 2016-2017

Ingrid Buhre died on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, after a brief illness.
She leaves her husband, Ted, two daughters, Annalie and Alexandra, and a granddaughter. 

Ingrid and Ted spent summers on an island in Sweden, where she wove in her mother-in-law’s studio, and Ted worked construction with his brother. 

For many years, Ingrid was a student at the Saunderstown Weaving School, where she enjoyed the companionship of other weavers. 

She was a member of the WGRI. From 2016 to 2017 Ingrid was co-president of the guild. She could be counted on to bring her homemade bread to the guild’s pot luck luncheons.

Most recently Ingrid was weaving rag rugs at Shady Lea Studios with Suzi Ballenger of Real Fibers.

Ingrid will be remembered for her outgoing and friendly personality. She will be missed.
